Unapologetically Strong: StacheStrong’s Website Reimagined

A digital transformation fuelled by a powerful mission to cure brain cancer

StacheStrong was gearing up for major growth, chasing down big funders and celebrating six years in the fight. They needed a site that would make a serious impression. When they came to us, StacheStrong's palette was limited to black and white. Wanting to stay true to this, we developed a neutral yet powerful colour scheme rooted in their mission. StacheSteel, a branded black, anchors the design, symbolising their unwavering resolve, while Rhino, inspires by the strength and determination. To add warmth, we introduced Gerner Gold, honouring the founders and embodying the noble resilience of the Gerner family. Silver Fog reflects the toughness required in the fight against brain cancer, while White brings balance, hope, and clarity to the palette.

Powerful Visual Storytelling to Spark Emotional Connections

The core theme of the site, was capturing the nonprofit’s journey, with a particular focus on the incredibly emotional story of the Gerner family, including a heartfelt page dedicated to GJ’s story, told by his big brother, Colin. By sharing their personal experiences, we aimed to not just evoke empathy but drive users to act—whether that's donating, volunteering, or sharing the site. On the donation front, we didn’t just streamline the process; we gave supporters multiple ways to step up—time, money, you name it—making sure every contribution makes a real impact. We also turned up the focus on their fundraising events, crafting fresh, engaging pages and experiences designed to boost participation as well as attract sponsors ready to make moves.

Since the 2024 website redesign, StacheStrong has secured an additional $1,000,000 in funding to advance their Brain Cancer research.

5 New Clinical Trials Funded

Since the initial website launch, the StacheStrong team have funded 5 new clinical trials and research grants to advance the search of finding a cure.

Increase in Event Sponsors

Since the initial website launch, the StacheStrong team have secured more corporate sponsors for their events.

WOW!!! We’re a family run nonprofit that has funded over $5M of brain cancer research and now we have a new website that properly represents us as an organization.
