The Nonprofit Design Studio CIC (Company Number: 15843739), hereby referred to as "the organisation," is committed to fostering equality, diversity, and inclusion among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
Our goal is to create a team that reflects the diverse communities we serve, ensuring each employee feels respected, valued, and able to contribute fully to our mission.
The organisation, in providing services and digital solutions to nonprofits, also commits to opposing unlawful discrimination towards clients, partners, and the public.
We are dedicated to embedding these values into our business as they are both morally right and essential for our success.
We strive to create a working environment free from bullying, harassment, victimisation, and discrimination—where individuality is recognised and respected.
Our managers and employees are trained to promote equality and prevent discrimination. All staff must help foster an inclusive environment and can be held accountable for any discriminatory actions.
We take seriously any complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation, or discrimination, whether they come from colleagues, customers, or the public. Such complaints will be dealt with under the organisation's grievance and disciplinary procedures, and serious cases may lead to dismissal. Additionally, acts such as sexual harassment could lead to criminal proceedings under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
We are committed to ensuring that all employees have equal access to training and career development opportunities. Decisions are made solely on merit, except in situations where lawful exemptions apply under the Equality Act.
To ensure continuous progress, we will regularly review our employment practices and monitor workforce diversity, including gender, ethnicity, disability, and other characteristics. This data helps inform our strategies to promote equality and inclusion and will be reviewed annually to ensure our policy remains effective and in line with legal requirements.
This policy is fully supported by senior management and aligns with best practices for UK non-profits. Information on grievances or disciplinary procedures can be found in our employee onboarding handbook. Employees retain the right to bring claims to an employment tribunal within three months of alleged discrimination.
